Now we have the initial appearance of solid mater. Here we also have the devel- opment of plants, animals and, for the first time, humans, as we know them. Little by little we follow humanity as it passes from its original state of purity through the challenges of falling, suffering and confusion. Although it tries to overcome these challenges and mature to ever-higher levels the best it can, it still yearns in its depths to once again embody the pure love and nobility of its original pure state. Try as it may, humanity is never able to find its way out of the maze and regain this on its own. But then finally, when humanity be- comes most lost, we suddenly hear a horn announcing the coming of a very special being, a Being of Light, who carries a redeeming impulse that can guide it out of the darkness into which it has descended.
